"Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what's inside you, to make your soul grow."
I joined the Old Town Artist Cooperative (OTAC) in early March and I am so excited to finally have a space dedicated to making art! I am equally excited to share the space with a cohort of talented visual artists dedicated to making time for creativity.
The OTAC is located in the AVCR Warehouse Building, right across the street from Harriet Island Park and just across the river from downtown St. Paul. I've been working hard to get moved in and organized, and my individual space is slowly coming together.
With the St. Paul Art Crawl right around the corner (April 24-26), it's time to buckle down! A little harder to do on a sunny 65 degree day and when the nearby amenities include views of the city skyline and the Mighty Mississippi River.
I look forward to exploring the landscape thoroughly as we move into spring and summer. I feel a new riverboat obsession coming on...
The OTAC will be open for the St. Paul Art Crawl next weekend, and in addition to the OTAC, there are numerous other artists throughout the building that will be participating as well. I hope you can make it out!
